Sarah Martin, a 1994 graduate of Ashland Blazer High School, announced she is running for Jefferson County Attorney.

After being endorsed by County Attorney Mike O’Connell, Martin announced her campaign has raised $50,000 in donations in one week.

O'Connell announced Thursday he will not seek reelection in 2026. He's now endorsing Sarah Martin to take his place.

O’Connell announced his support for Martin, his office's second assistant and head of the civil division, in next year’s race.

Raises more than $50,000 in the first week of her campaign and earns endorsements from prominent local leaders.
